Francesca Morini is a designer, lecturer and scholar in the field of data visualization. Francesca holds a BA in Media and Communication studies from the Università degli Studi di Modena and Reggio Emilia, as well as a MSc in Communication Design from the Politecnico di Milano and a PhD from the Media and Communication Department at Södertörn University, Stockholm. Currently, she is a post-doctoral researcher at the Film University KONRAD WOLF with affiliations to the Metalab Berlin & Harvard and the UCLAB Potsdam. Her research is positioned at the intersection of computer science, data visualization, and journalism – with a strong focus on developing new visual models and methods to convey complex societal issues through data visualization.
